Originally from Fort St. John, B.C., Ryan always knew what he wanted to be when he grew up, and began his journey at Pomeroy Lodging and a very young age. On his fifth birthday, Ryan spent the day working in the hotel restaurant with his brother and father. From then on, he was dedicated to the family business, pushing for better service, faster growth, and stronger community relations. In 2006, he was appointed president, and since then has been instrumental in strategically positioning Pomeroy Lodging for continued success and growth.
Ryan maintains the company vision and strategy and steers the overall direction of the Pomeroy Lodging. He builds relationships with corporate and community stakeholders; leads capital restructuring; and directs large portfolio sales and acquisitions.
Ryan’s vision is to be the first choice for travelers by providing superior quality hotels, products, and guest services. He is dedicated to seeing Pomeroy’s employees and families develop and investing in the sustainable growth of the communities where Pomeroy hotels are built.
Bob Pomeroy, Chief Executive Officer of Pomeroy Lodging, has over 25 years of experience in hotel operations. As both an owner and operator in the hotel and hospitality industry, he has established the Pomeroy name as being the premier hotel group in Western Canada.
SENIOR Vice President Operations
In 2007, Stefan Nasalski joined Pomeroy as a Regional Manager for the hotel operations division with the goal of affecting organizational change from a leadership position. As the Vice President of Operations, he pushes the company to excellence every day. He leads hotel operations, which includes its people, high standard of quality service, and hotel performance and outcomes.
His extensive experience in the branding and operations of high-quality hotels is a valuable asset for long-term strategic planning. Stefan holds true to Pomeroy’s core values, puts people first when it comes to decision making, and sets goals for the company to achieve.
Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Stefan holds a Masters of Business Administration, Hospitality and Tourism from the University of Guelph. Every day he brings his past experience and knowledge at every level in the industry to Pomeroy Lodging. His pride in accomplishing goals, and a team approach to leadership allow him to successfully drive hotel operations to greatness.
Vice President of Public Relations & Partnerships
Jackie was drawn to work at Pomeroy in 2014 at the prospect of working with a team that thrives on continuous improvement and growth. In her role, she focuses on enhancing and establishing new partnerships, while strategically managing government and public relations. Her extensive experience through education, work, and volunteer activities come together to influence her day-to-day tasks as Vice President of Public Relations and Partnerships.
Jackie’s gregarious nature and enthusiasm for the Pomeroy Lodging family allow her to thrive in her role. Her strong team-building skills and ability to make quick decisions allow her to ensure smooth operations in partnership with all levels of stakeholders. Every day, Jackie ensures that Pomeroy’s reputation is maintained as she helps find, grow, and strengthen partnerships within the communities the company operates in.
Born in Ontario, Jackie spent many years in British Columbia before moving to Alberta in 1999. She completed a diploma in marketing and sales at Langara College in Vancouver, and is a certified media advisor.
Executive Director of Revenue Optimization
Andrea was drawn to the ambitious, refreshing vision of Pomeroy Lodging in 2013 when she joined the team as the Executive Director of Revenue Optimization. She executes the strategic plan in terms of revenue management to maximize the revenue per available room (RevPAR) metric for the company.
Collaborating with Sales, Brand and Operations, Andrea is constantly refining and putting strategy into action to optimize revenue growth. Balancing increasing revenue while providing a better guest experience, Andrea and her team work to improve guests’ ability to access information and book rooms online. Andrea brings her cross functional expertise in e-Commerce and channel distribution knowledge to this multi-brand company.
Andrea holds a Bachelor of Administration from the Hotel School Hanover in Germany. She has a proven track record of excelling in market analysis, business development, revenue generation, strategic alliances, branding and repositioning of new and existing properties.
Executive Director of People & Culture
Drawn in by Pomeroy Lodging’s people and core values, Cora started at the company in 2014. As the Executive Director of People and Culture, she focuses on recruitment and retention, employee training, development, and recognition, family and community events, and evaluating the current operating procedures.
Skilled in the art of teambuilding, and intuitive by nature, Cora selects the right people and puts them in the right places. From there she helps develop, motivate, and mentor them. She makes a concerted effort to connect with each staff member in a meaningful way, and tries to find ways to make working for Pomeroy Lodging their best career decision.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from McMaster University, Ontario, and a diploma in hotel operations and management from Career Canada. Cora is also certified as a predictive index analyst and trained in behavioural interviewing. As a human resources professional with diverse hospitality knowledge and experience, she handles situations confidently with a solutions-focused approach.
Director of Project Management
Nick joined the Pomeroy team in 2010 where we applied his strategic and analytical abilities which enabled him to become a skilled project analyst. Now, as Director of Project Management, Nick plans, executes, and closes new construction projects and large-scale renovations.
His role involves a range of duties from developing contracts, budgets, and schedules to project reporting and monitoring, communication, and leadership. He is motivated by completing a project on time, and on budget, and feels an enormous sense of pride when a top-quality product is completed.
Originally from Vancouver, Nick holds a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Management from the University of Northern British Columbia as well as a Diploma in Forest Technology. Every day he brings his strategic and logistical thinking, the ability to breakdown and analyze project details, and his loyalty to Pomeroy.
Director of Brand Integration
Christy has been with Pomeroy since 2005 and in that time has worked in various capacities. Starting as a server, she worked her way up to general management, and upon graduating from university she moved into the corporate office to oversee the proprietary brands. She now works with the people and culture, and brand departments to ensure cohesive messaging and programing for internal and external stakeholders.
Christy develops meaningful training, events, and employee initiatives while overseeing the implementation of the company’s marketing plan. Because she has been with the Pomeroy brands since they began, she has enjoyed watching them evolve and take shape. Every day, Christy works to further establish and solidify the Pomeroy brand. She is inspired by new challenges, and is rewarded by training people and watching them succeed.
Born in and grown up in Grande Prairie, Christy moved to Edmonton to complete a Bachelor of Secondary Education from the University of Alberta. She leads brand integration through her ability to connect with individuals at all levels of the company.
